9 April: Christchurch to Kaikoura – Scenic Train Journey & Coastal Adventures
Morning: Begin your adventure with a transfer to the rail station where you’ll board one of New Zealand’s most scenic train journeys. Taking in the dramatic coastline, enjoy a leisurely breakfast on board, while soaking in breathtaking views of rugged seascapes, rolling farmlands, and mountain backdrops.
Midday: Arrive in Kaikoura and be warmly greeted by Mike, your friendly guide and driver for the tour.
Afternoon:
Visit a local gin distillery
Lunch at your leisure in town (own expense)
Take a relaxed tour of Kaikoura, learning about its rich history, Maori culture, and connection to the ocean. Explore the Kaikoura Museum, which features exhibits about the region's whaling heritage and geological wonders.
Evening: Settle into your accommodation at The White Morph and enjoy a home-cooked BBQ dinner prepared by Mike and Heather, paired with laughter and stories to end the day on a perfect note.

10 April: Explore Kaikoura – Wildlife Adventures & Scenic Wonders
Morning: Start the day with a hearty breakfast lovingly prepared by Mike and Heather.
Choose your morning adventure:
Dolphin Encounter: Get up close with playful dolphins in their natural habitat.
Albatross Viewing: See the majestic albatrosses and other seabirds soaring over the ocean, guided by expert naturalists.
Whale Watching: A thrilling ocean tour to see the mighty sperm whales that make Kaikoura one of the world’s top destinations for marine life encounters.
Midday: Enjoy an included lunch of classic fish and chips at a local eatery, soaking in the charm of this coastal town.
Afternoon: Visit Ohau Point, a scenic lookout where you can observe the adorable New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks. Perfect for photos.
Evening: Dine at the iconic Pier Hotel (own expense), a local gem renowned for its world-famous crayfish and seafood dishes, all served with a side of stunning ocean views.

11 April: Kaikoura to Christchurch – Gardens, Coastlines & Final Memories
Morning: One last breakfast with Mike and Heather at The White Morph.
Late Morning: Bid farewell to Kaikoura as Mike drives you back to Christchurch. Along the way, stop at Gore Bay and Cheviot, where you’ll explore picturesque gardens and enjoy a delightful picnic-style lunch. Take a stroll along the scenic Gore Bay coastline or relax in the garden setting.
Afternoon: Continue the journey back to Christchurch, arriving in the late afternoon, with transfers back to your home.
